Policies and Procedures

HOW LONG IS A LESSON?

Each lesson is 30 minutes. Due to lessons being back-to-back, we will make every effort to begin and end on time.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Come in a bathing suit, and bring a towel and goggles. Our preference is that your swimmer wear goggles if needed, and not a mask that covers their nose. Part of their training is to learn proper breathing techniques which require their noses to be exposed. If your child has long hair, please plan to pull it back and out of their face.

WHAT NOT TO BRING?

Please refrain from bringing any sort of floatation devices (water wings, puddle jumpers, life jackets, etc) or pool toys. We will have everything we need to provide a fun and interactive learning experience for your swimmer.

CAN WE WATCH?

Absolutely! There are bleachers where you can observe. However, we ask that you remain at a distance so that your child is not distracted. Please refrain from interacting with your child while lessons are in session unless otherwise requested by a team member. Our staff is trained to provide the best care and instruction for your swimmer(s).

HOW IS TUITION DETERMINED?

Pricing is based on a 4-week month (1 or 2 lessons per week for 4 weeks). Tuition will be adjusted accordingly for a 3-week or 5-week month. See tuition schedule here.

ARE THERE DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?

Yes, please inquire about sibling discounts.

WHAT IS THE COMMITMENT FOR LESSONS?

No set commitment length or contract.

DO I HAVE TO SIGN UP EACH MONTH?

Our program is ongoing as long as you want to swim with us. If you choose to keep a card on file, charges will be processed on the 25th of each month for the upcoming month. Alternatively, invoice payments (sent by the 25th of the preceding month) are required before the first lesson of a new session. The confirmed class days and times remain guaranteed unless you request a change or decide to cancel lessons.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL DURING A SESSION?

Since you have secured a place in the program, we request that should you need to forfeit your spot, please send us an email by the 15th of the preceding month to facilitate adjustments for the upcoming session. Generally, session payments are non-refundable within the same session. However, if our team approves a mid-session refund, the remaining payment can be credited toward the next session, or a refund can be issued for the unused lessons from the cancellation date forward. It's important to note that a 5% credit card processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount. No-shows are not eligible for refunds.

WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND A LESSON?

If you need to cancel a lesson due to unforeseen circumstances, please provide 24 hours notice by calling or texting (919) 912-1411. All eligible makeups must be made within 2 weeks of the missed lesson. No-shows are not eligible for rescheduling.

WHAT ARE THE AGE GROUPS FOR EACH LESSON?

Each lesson will be primarily based on age, but ability will be a factor as well. Depending on enrollment, we will do our best to put swimmers of similar ages and/or abilities together for group lessons. We may encourage moving a child up if their swim level permits.

WHAT IS THE INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY?

We will adhere to NC regulations, which is a 30-minute delay after every instance of thunder. We will reschedule all lessons that are cancelled due to weather.
